Midway Market, at 16221 N Hatch Road, brings together groceries, a coffee shop, pastries, and a restaurant. For Silver Pines Estates, it is a useful stop to try as you explore the Hatch and Midway area. Its bistro lists sandwiches, salads, soups, and hot entrées, so the grocery trip does not have to wait until after lunch.
Two Parks Worth Getting to Know
Bidwell Park combines a walking route around the park with sand volleyball, pickleball, baseball, and basketball. The large seasonal aquatic facility adds another reason to visit in summer. I appreciate how much there is to do in its quiet neighborhood setting.
Gleneden Park is another favorite for a walk and some playtime. The zip line is fun for younger children, and the moose sculpture deserves a mention of its own. For little ones, meeting the moose may be the main event.
A Meal Out or a Movie Night
Twigs Wandermere has a spacious patio overlooking a pond, with outdoor heaters and fireplaces. Inside, tall ceilings and a comfortable atmosphere make it a good local option for a meal or drinks.
Village Centre Cinemas at Wandermere is a local movie option with multiple screens, popcorn, sodas, and arcade games. It has the familiar movie-night ingredients without feeling like an enormous multiplex. Check current showtimes before heading over.
Finding Your Kind of Home
I’d give some thought to how you want to use both the house and the yard. Extra outdoor space can be wonderful when you have a purpose for it. The lawn mower, however, is unlikely to volunteer to handle the rest. We can look for the balance that feels right to you.
