Things to Do in Spokane October 31: Six Saturday Ideas

If you’re looking for things to do in Spokane October 31, this Saturday offers a last visit to Manito’s Japanese Garden, a Green Bluff farm stop, art at the MAC and an evening at The Fox. Across the state line, Riverstone Harvest Fest and a Lake Coeur d’Alene scenic cruise round out the choices.

These are six options to choose from, rather than a route to squeeze into one day. My recommendation would be to pick one part of the region, choose a daytime stop and leave yourself enough time to enjoy it.

One last visit to Manito’s Japanese Garden

Saturday, October 31 is the final day to visit the Nishinomiya Tsutakawa Japanese Garden before it closes for the season. Hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The garden’s maples, evergreens, pond and wooden bridge make it a particularly good late-October outing. Take your time, stay on the pathways and let the garden set the pace. Pets are not permitted, except service animals, and visitors should not feed the fish.

Check the City of Spokane’s Japanese Garden information before leaving. This week’s seasonal closing date is also confirmed in KXLY’s October 29 report.

Harvest time on Green Bluff at Siemers Farm

Siemers Farm lists October 31 as the final Saturday of its fall season. The farm is at 11125 E. Day Mt. Spokane Road in Mead, and its festival page lists visiting hours of 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

If a farm stop sounds good, check the current updates before you make the drive. Late-season offerings can change, and a little planning helps on a busy Green Bluff weekend. Give yourself room for traffic and follow the farm’s parking directions when you arrive.

Use Siemers Farm’s current announcements for the latest information, along with its fall festival page.

Riverstone Harvest Fest in Coeur d’Alene

Kootenai County Farmers’ Markets hosts Harvest Fest on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Beebe Boulevard and Main Street in Riverstone Village. Admission and parking are free.

Expect late-season produce, local makers, food and live music. It is a useful chance to shop the end of the outdoor market season and bring home something for the week ahead. The event also welcomes costumes and includes trick-or-treating at participating businesses, so expect that alongside the harvest market.

Find the current announcement on the Kootenai County Farmers’ Markets website. This is the Riverstone event, separate from the regular Hayden market, which has finished for the season.

Clearly Indigenous at the MAC

For an indoor option, visit Clearly Indigenous: Native Visions Reimagined in Glass at the Northwest Museum of Arts and Culture. The exhibition brings together glass works by Indigenous artists and runs through January 10, 2027.

The MAC is at 2316 W. First Avenue in Spokane, with Saturday museum hours of 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Museum admission applies. The timing makes it a flexible choice if you would rather spend part of the day indoors.

See the MAC’s current exhibitions and visitor information for tickets, parking and accessibility details.

A daytime cruise on Lake Coeur d’Alene

Lake Coeur d’Alene Cruises lists 90-minute scenic cruises through October 31, with departures at 12:30 and 2:30 p.m. Boarding is at Independence Point and begins 30 minutes before departure.

It is a different way to spend a fall afternoon on the lake. Bring a warm layer if you want time on the outdoor deck, and check ticket availability before planning the rest of your day around a sailing.

Use the operator’s daily scenic cruise page for current details and its official ticket site to check available sailings.

Black Jacket Symphony at The Fox

Black Jacket Symphony performs Bon Jovi’s Slippery When Wet at The Fox on Saturday evening. Doors open at 6:30 p.m., and the show begins at 7:30 p.m. The theater is at 1001 W. Sprague Avenue in Spokane.

This is Black Jacket Symphony recreating the album, not an appearance by Bon Jovi. Tickets are required. If this is your evening plan, allow time for downtown parking and arriving before the performance.

See The Fox’s official event page for tickets and venue information.

Planning your Spokane October 31 outing

Confirm tickets, registration, parking, weather, availability and last-minute changes with each organizer before heading out. Outdoor plans deserve a warm layer, and a full afternoon deserves a little breathing room between stops.
