Exploring Gleneden real estate, sometimes searched as Glen Eden, is a chance to get to know an established part of the North Spokane area. I’d start with the house, of course, but leave room in the visit for the park and surrounding streets. Your life will extend beyond the front door.

Getting to Know Life Around Gleneden (Glen Eden)
Gleneden Community Park gives you a neighborhood place to explore, while Pine River Community Park adds another outdoor option. For dining, you can work the Wandermere corridor into your visit.
Coffee, Lunch, and Everyday Shopping
Midway Market, at 16221 N Hatch Road, brings together groceries, a coffee shop, pastries, and a restaurant. I like having a place where a quick errand can turn into coffee or lunch. Its bistro lists sandwiches, salads, soups, and hot entrées, giving you a few options when cooking is not on the evening’s wish list.
A Walk, a Zip Line, and a Moose
Bidwell Park combines a walking route around the park with sand volleyball, pickleball, baseball, and basketball. The large seasonal aquatic facility adds another reason to visit in summer. It is a useful additional park option beyond Gleneden itself.
Gleneden Park is another favorite for a walk and some playtime. The zip line is fun for younger children, and the moose sculpture deserves a mention of its own. For little ones, meeting the moose may be the main event.
A Meal Out or a Movie Night
Twigs Wandermere has a spacious patio overlooking a pond, with outdoor heaters and fireplaces. Inside, tall ceilings and a comfortable atmosphere make it a good local option for a meal or drinks.
Village Centre Cinemas at Wandermere is a local movie option with multiple screens, popcorn, sodas, and arcade games. It has the familiar movie-night ingredients without feeling like an enormous multiplex. Check current showtimes before heading over.
For a riverside outing, Pine River Park has a play area and open fields, with the Little Spokane River as its highlight. There is no lifeguard at the river beach.
Finding Your Kind of Home
With an established home, I like to look at how it has evolved. Sometimes an updated layout makes everyday life easier. Sometimes the original floor plan is still doing its job quite nicely. We can sort through the details together without assuming that newer automatically means better.
A past-sale example at 15709 N Glencrest Court describes a 1979 rancher on about one-third of an acre. That gives us one picture of an established home here, not a description of every house on the block. When we tour, I’d want to know what has been updated, what still needs attention, and whether the basement feels like space you would actually use.
