Getting to Know Life Around Wandermere Heights
Coffee in Fairwood and shopping or dinner in Wandermere are useful stops to include along the way. A little time spent on those ordinary routes can help you decide whether the location feels comfortable.
Make Time for More Than the Home Tour
Wandermere Golf Course belongs on the list if you enjoy getting out for a round. Check tee times and access directly with the course as you plan your visit.
Twigs Wandermere is one of my local suggestions for a meal or drinks. Its spacious patio overlooks a pond, with heaters and fireplaces for added comfort. Inside, the tall ceilings and relaxed atmosphere make it easy to linger over a conversation.
Birdy’s Sports Bar in Wandermere Village is another option for casual food and catching a game. For movie night, Village Centre Cinemas offers multiple screens, arcade games, popcorn, and sodas in a manageable local cinema setting.
Coffee and the Weekly Errands
Dutch Bros at 11921 N Division Street is a coffee option to work into a Northside outing. Nearby Wandermere Fred Meyer brings groceries, garden supplies, home goods, and clothing together, so several weekly errands can fit into the same outing.
For some outdoor time beyond the golf course, Pine River Park has a play area and open fields beside the Little Spokane River. Its river beach has no lifeguard.
For another coffee stop, I like Thomas Hammer Fairwood on Hastings Road. The friendly staff, outdoor seating, and roll-up door make it a pleasant place to pause, with a drive-through when you need to keep moving.
Finding Your Kind of Home
Once inside a home, I’d look at how the rooms connect to the yard and surrounding setting. A view is enjoyable, but so is a room you naturally want to spend time in. Ideally, we find a home where the layout and location both earn their keep.
Condron Homes’ community description identifies gated access, curving streets, dead ends, sidewalks, and more than 20 acres of natural common area. Those details help explain the setting, but I’d still leave time to stand in the yard and look around. The way a particular home sits among the streets and open space is something a description can only begin to explain.
A Few More Places to Get to Know
North Spokane Library, 44 E Hawthorne Road, is worth keeping in mind if library visits belong in your week. If schools are part of your decision, we can check Mead school boundaries by address.
